Hörmann TNR Re-Branded to Hörmann

Hörmann TNR Re-Branded to Hörmann

The History

TNR Industrial Doors began in 2003 as a small rubber door manufacturer located in Barrie ON, Canada after the owner, Albany / M & I Doors, moved the Barrie operations to the United States. Several ex-employees of Albany / M & I Doors remained in Barrie, and under the leadership of founding president, Cathy Buckingham, formed the nucleus of experience needed to start TNR Industrial Doors including: rubber door design, manufacturing, marketing and sales know-how. In a few short years, these founding employees propelled TNR Industrial Doors to a position of leadership in the rubber door market. The Hörmann Group acquired TNR Industrial Doors in 2017 and in October 2020, the company name changed to Hörmann TNR which was the first step in branding TNR Industrial Doors as a Hörmann company. At that time, the company logo was re-designed to a combination of the Hörmann wordmark logo and the blue and gray TNR logo. Now, we're excited to announce that the full re-branding initiative is nearly completed at Hörmann TNR. The new branding means a name change from Hörmann TNR to Hörmann (Barrie), and the company logo to the Hörmann workmark logo on its own. Rest assured that only the company logo is changing, and the same dependable support team you're accustomed to is still here to serve you.

From the Lobby to the Production Floor

The re-brand means that building signage, interior and exterior, from the lobby to the production floor, will be converted to all Hörmann logos and corporate colors of bright blue and orange. A focal point of the new branding signage project includes a special TNR History Wall that will proudly display historical keynotes, photos and memories of the company’s growth from 2003 to the success story it is today. Even on the production floor, a large vintage TNR lightbox sign is proudly displayed so that Hörmann Barrie employees can look back fondly on their past while anticipating the growth that lies ahead. How will the re-branding impact what you see in the field? Already, product identification labels have been changed to the Hörmann word mark logo. In addition, over the course of 2023, advertisements, brochures and other support documents will be updated, featuring the Hörmann word mark. Note that in conjunction with re-branding, the Hörmann Barrie general email address has changed to: . Individual personnel email addresses will also be changing, so be sure to note your contacts' new email addresses. Our team in Barrie assembled on December 16 for an official internal re-branding kick-off, celebrating the foundation of TNR and its rich history as a company while looking ahead to the future which is now fully re-branded to Hörmann. TNR was always about the people who make the brand what it is, and that focus on the people behind the product carries on in this new chapter under the Hörmann name.
