IT Specialist

We are looking for an IT Specialist to join our growing team.  In this role, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining technology products in two (2) locations (Canada & US) as well as providing services related to software, hardware, databases, networks and enterprise systems.

About You …

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Sciences or a related field;
  • Industry certifications, Masters or advanced level course work will be considered an asset;
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience managing IT projects in support of a manufacturing organization;
  • Excellent IT, communication, leadership and management skills;
  • Substantial experience working with various software and hardware types;
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software packages;
  • SAP project experience will be considered a significant asset;
  • Able to work on several projects simultaneously, covering multiple locations;
  • Experience working in a VMware environment will be an asset; and
  • Experience working on and supporting Microsoft’s suite of products.

In addition, you must be detailed in the creation/review of IT policies and technical documents; be detailed in your work, taking special precautions with regards to safety & security; and be open and honest with colleagues to ensure quality work performance all while fostering an open, honest and ethical work environment.

Although you are not expected to perform extraneous physical activities in your daily tasks, you must be physically able to safely maneuver in production areas.

In this role, you will …

  • Maintain the infrastructure for two (2) partnered but geographically distant organizations;
  • Continuously assess infrastructure to ensure requirements and demands are being met;
  • Work with external partners, including consultants, agencies and vendors, for the correct implementation/integration of new systems;
  • Assist with the installation of new hardware and software and provide technical support and training sessions to employees;
  • Provide SAP technical support to staff as well as other ‘stand-alone’ software platforms;
  • Facilitate the process of gathering and documenting business requirements;
  • Schedule Quality Assurance Activities to verify requirements have been met;
  • Facilitate communication between all groups involved to coordinate the transfer of technical specifications; and
  • Work in diverse work environments and be responsible for multiple locations.

Hours of work – 40 hrs / week

As the position could be located in Barrie Ontario or Burgettstown Pennsylvania, you must be eligible to work in both the USA and Canada.  This position will likely have regular travel up to 25% between the 2 locations.

Regional Sales Manager, Quebec & Atlantic Canada

We are looking for a Regional Sales Manager, Quebec and Atlantic Canada to join our growing team.  Your territory will cover Quebec, the Maritimes as well as Newfoundland and you will be responsible for promoting and selling TNR products within your territory.  You will maintain strong relations with existing dealer partners while actively pursuing new target accounts.  You will collaborate with other Regional Sales Managers, the National Sales Manager and the President to contribute area specific industry information and recommendations for strategic planning.

About You …

  • Minimum high school diploma with other business training
  • Post-secondary degree in Business Administration or relevant field would be an asset
  • Minimum 10 years of sales experience in building products or construction
  • Experience in the door industry would be an asset, particularly in High Performance Doors
  • Fluently bilingual – verbal and written
  • Able to drive the sales process from plan to close with demonstrated results
  • Strong business sense and the ability to make and adhere to decisions
  • Able to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization and with customers – verbal and written
  • Collaborative attitude to work well with others as well as customers
  • Proficient at Microsoft Office
  • Basic accounting knowledge
  • Able to read and generate reports, ledgers and market analyses
  • Solid mechanical and electrical aptitude
  • Clean driving record and willingness to travel (up to 75% of the time)

In this role, you will …

  • Sell TNR product through our dealer base or direct to end users if required.
  • In collaboration with National Sales Manager, establish sales objectives by creating a sales plan and budget for region in support of national objectives.
  • Develop and implement specific plans to ensure profitable sales growth in line with national objectives.
  • Prepare monthly and yearly sales reports to track progress to plan.
  • Self-manage in order to maximize sales revenue and meet or exceed corporate-set goals.
  • Maintain and expand customer base by building and maintaining rapport with key customers and identifying new opportunities.
  • Identify and target segment specific end-users, architects and design build contractors to promote TNR product and work with established dealers to offer a turnkey solution.
  • Review and respond to RFPs and RFQs.
  • Establish and adjust selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand.
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships through consultative sales approach - partnering with dealers and providing solutions to the end user.
  • Work within TNR guidelines to resolve customer issues as they arise.
  • Collect on overdue accounts within own area.
  • Identify customer needs and trends and make recommendations on corporate strategy.
  • Recommend potential new product lines by identifying emerging market opportunities.
  • Stay current with new product launches and/or product improvements to communicate to existing and potential customers.
  • Report on competitors’ new product lines, product improvements or changes in strategy as information becomes available.
  • Continually improve job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining personal networks.
  • Promote company, TNR core values and reaffirm corporate image though ad hoc events and incorporate image into all sales efforts.
  • Foster internal relationships with marketing, sales support, engineering, parts, and field services to support and meet the needs of the customer.
  • Attend customer meetings, seminars, trade shows, and conferences as appropriate and/or required.
  • Work within an established travel budget while maintaining necessary call levels.
