IT Support Technician

TNR Industrial Doors is wanting to find an IT Support Technician to support its growth. This exciting role will provide technical support in an efficient and accurate manner, solving basic technical problems and providing support for all assigned areas. About You

Your Education/Membership

Your Experience

  • 2+ years of IT support in a manufacturing organization
  • 2+ years working with various software and hardware types
  • Experience with backup software and troubleshooting
  • Experience working on and supporting Microsoft suite of office products
  • Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) software (SAP experience is an asset)

Quality and Continuous Improvement Manager

TNR Industrial Doors continues to grow and this means we are looking to add another strong member to our team. As our Quality and Continuous Improvement Manager you will be responsible and accountable for the overall development, implementation, and maintenance of the organization’s ISO certified Quality Management System (QMS) by providing leadership and guidance to the organization focused on Quality Systems, Product Quality, Continuous Improvement, and Voice of the Customer.

You will also be the Quality Management Representative and will liaise with Registrar body. In addition, you will monitor for compliance to ISO standards, quality requirements and customer expectations.

As the process owner of various QMS processes (Continuous Improvement, Internal Audit, Corrective and Preventative Action, Control of Documents & Records, Control of Nonconforming Product, Control of Monitoring & Measuring Devices), you will make recommendations to managers about policies, documentation and procedures and assist in the development and implementation of quality procedures, work instructions and standards.

Your Quality Assurance/Control tasks/responsibilities will include:

  • achieving quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; identifying and resolving problems; completing audits; determining system improvements; and implementing change;
  • managing and maintaining the processes for the monitoring and/or inspection (examination) of incoming materials, ensuring that they meet set standards of quality;
  • managing Supplier quality assurance and development. You will actively interact with suppliers to contain quality failures and implement Corrective Action to ensure issues do not reoccur (Supplier Corrective Action Process). You will also develop suppliers to ensure a mutually beneficial partnership as the organization grows. Monitors and tracks Supplier Quality performance;
  • educating production teams on quality issues and working with managers and team leaders to improve overall product quality;
  • assuring consistent quality of production by working with Production and Manufacturing Engineering to develop quality assurance plans by conducting hazard analyses; identifying critical control points and preventive measures; establishing critical limits, monitoring procedures, corrective actions, and validation procedures to reduce risk of failure modes; and
  • developing and maintaining advanced quality plans such as cost of quality programs to improve and reduce the cost of poor quality.

Your Continuous Improvement tasks/responsibilities will include:

  • Leading and tracking significant CI Projects. You will collaborate with Functional departments (Engineering, Production, Quality, Purchasing, Finance and Human Resources) to assist in developing, prioritizing and executing annual CI strategy; and
  • monitoring progress to continuous improvement KPIs and advancing the transformation to world class over time through continued improvement and coaching.

Your Project Management tasks/responsibilities will include:

  • managing the Master Project List and working with the Senior Management Team to rank and prioritize project selection to ensure that it aligns with the strategic direction of the organization and provide the required resources to support.
  • acting as Project Team Leader to guide team to ensure project objectives are met by: developing project plans including work scope, project milestones, risk management, cost/benefit analysis, project timelines, status reports and budgets.

About You:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of developing, implementing and maintaining an ISO certified Quality Management System.
  • Working knowledge of risk management principles, assembly, manufacturing, and supplier environments.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of problem identification, root cause analysis and solution-oriented problem-solving. 8D Method, Point of Cause, Drill Deep
  • Strong data collection, management and analysis skills.
  • Knowledgeable in advanced problem-solving techniques and process improvement methodologies; e.g., Six Sigma (DMAIC), A3 Kaizen process, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Error-proofing, Lean Manufacturing, TPS.
  • Ability to apply project management principles and practices
  • In-depth knowledge of Core tools: MSA, SPC, PPAP, APQP, FMEA
  • Technical background and experience in Blue Prints, GD&T, GR&R, Check Fixtures
  • Ability to plan, develop and conduct procedures/tests and best practices to ensure raw material and finished products meet set standards/specifications for ensuring product quality.
  • Knowledge of MS Office, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Systems Applications and Products in Data Processing (SAP)
  • Strong organizational, project management, and leadership skills to prioritize, schedule and coordinate the activities of project teams, manage conflicting needs, and deal with many issues at one time. Must be able to work independently and maintain focus.

Your Education/Membership:

  • Post-secondary education. Degree/diploma in quality management or related discipline
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer or relevant experience
  • Certification as ISO Internal Auditor
  • Lean Certification - Lean Green Belt

Your Experience:

  • 5+ years of quality control/ assurance experience in a manufacturing environment. Automotive/Aerospace preferred.
  • 3+ years people management experience
  • 3+ years acting as ISO internal auditor. Lead auditor experience preferred
  • Experience working with a leadership team to create and implement a dynamic corporate vision and culture
  • Solid experience in continuous improvement strategies such as Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen or Six Sigma

Production Team

We are a growing company looking to add a few team members (Craftspeople) to our production team. These positions will be responsible for the production and assembly of our product offerings while using the assigned equipment/machinery. We are looking to add strong contributors to an already very strong production team. We provide a safe work environment where safety, quality and teamwork are paramount to your and our success. General Requirements …

Solid understanding of English language to follow oral and written instructions;

Minimum high school diploma;

Minimum one year experience in a production environment (preferably manufacturing);

Some experience with forklifts;

Ability to read blueprint, drawings or layouts;

Strong abilities to work with measuring tools and able to use various power tools;

Possess a keen eye with strong attention to detail;

Able to do basic math calculations; and

Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs

CURTAIN AREA

In addition to the above ‘general requirements’, candidates must be physically fit as much of the work is done on their hands and knees.

ASSEMBLY AREA

In addition to the above ‘general requirements’, candidates must have experience working with such power tools as nail gun and table saw.

STEEL AREA

In addition to the above ‘general requirements’, candidates must have experience working with power tools such as drill press, mig welder, steel saws, etc. and must have good eye/hand coordination. Experience using an overhead crane would be an asset as would steel fabrication experience.
