Territory Sales Manager – Eastern Canada

The Territory Sales Manager promotes and sells Hörmann products within his/her assigned area of responsibility, maintaining strong relations with existing dealer partners while actively pursuing new target accounts. The incumbent collaborates with other TSMs, RSM’s, the Director of Sales, and the President to contribute area specific industry information and recommendations for strategic planning. In addition, he/she prepares and completes action plans; resolves client issues; identifies industry trends; defines necessary improvements in regional sales plan and implements change as required. This is a 100% remote role with the incumbent preferably located in the Greater Toronto Area.

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

  1. Sells Hörmann product through approved dealer partners.
  2. Target and onboard new dealer partners whilst maintaining market parity for existing dealer partners
  3. In collaboration with the Director of Sales, establishes sales objectives by creating a sales plan and budget for region in support of national objectives.
  4. Develops and implements specific plans to ensure profitable sales growth in line with national objectives.
  5. Prepares monthly and yearly sales reports to track progress to plan.
  6. Self-manages in order to maximize sales revenue and meet or exceed corporate-set goals.
  7. Maintains and expands customer base by building and maintaining relationships with key customers and identifying new opportunities.
  8. Identifies and targets segment specific end-users, architects and design build contractors to promote Hörmann product and works with established dealers and Hörmann sister divisions to offer a turnkey solution.
  9. Reviews and responds to RFPs and RFQs.
  10. Establishes and adjusts selling prices by monitoring costs, competition, and supply and demand.
  11. Builds and promotes strong, long-lasting customer relationships through consultative sales approach - partnering with dealers and providing solutions to the end user.
  12. Works within Hörmann guidelines to resolve customer issues as they arise.
  13. Identifies customer needs and trends and makes recommendations on corporate strategy.
  14. Recommends potential new product lines by identifying emerging market opportunities.
  15. Stays current with new product launches and/or product improvements to communicate to existing and potential customers.
  16. Reports on competitors’ new product lines, product improvements or changes in strategy as information becomes available.
  17. Continually improves job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, and maintaining personal networks.
  18. Promotes company, Hörmann core values and reaffirms corporate image though ad hoc events and incorporates image into all sales efforts.
  19. Fosters internal relationships with marketing, sales support, engineering, parts, and field services to support and meet the needs of the customer.
  20. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  21. Attends customer meetings, seminars, trade shows, and conferences as appropriate and/or required.
  22. Works within an established travel budget while maintaining necessary call levels.

Minimum Requirements:

  • High school diploma at minimum with other business training
  • Post-secondary degree in Business Administration or relevant field would be an asset
  • Minimum 2 years sales experience; experience in building products or construction an asset
  • Experience in the door industry not a must but would be an asset

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Ability to drive the sales process from plan to close with demonstrated results
  • Strong business sense and the ability to make and adhere to decisions
  • Ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization and with customers – verbal and written
  • Collaborative attitude, working well with others as well as customers
  • Proficient at Microsoft Office
  • Basic accounting knowledge
  • Able to read and generate reports, and complete market analyses
  • Knowledge of the door industry
  • Clean driving record
  • 75% travel required

Senior Systems Engineer

In this newly created position, the The Senior Systems Engineer will lead the design, development, configuration, and engineering of unique, composite systems that will be developed from a European and North American model and template. This role is responsible for the architecture, operations, and engineering of the new ERP system. This position will also collaborate with other departments and be crucial in establishing a joint CRM system.

This is a full-time on-site position at our facility located in Barrie, Ontario.

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

  • Test interfaces, upgrades, changes, and enhancements to existing SAP systems.
  • Lead all phases of SAP projects and support implementation
  • Lead and monitor go-live activities
  • Lead and support cross-functional SAP initiatives and activities
  • Design, test and implement solutions in the new European/North American SAP model
  • Assist with cross-functional reporting operations
  • Collaborate with other team members to troubleshoot and problem solve
  • Conduct domestic and global integration tests
  • Provide onsite technical support, training and development initiatives
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team member
  • Monitor the system and perform issue corrections to proactively address problems and ensure optimum performance within the system
  • Train end-users in the proper use of SAP, WMS, and other related/integrated systems
  • Respond to, troubleshoot, monitor, and diagnose application and system problems to enable the business to function optimally
  • Document changes in business processes and communicates to the core team
  • Develop and initiate production-planning schedules and job files
  • Proactively communicate across the organization issues and opportunities to ensure facility objectives are achieved
  • Lead IT Application project implementation efforts at the local level

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree required; higher education preferred
  • 3 to 5 years of SAP experience and/or training in the field
  • Previous manufacturing experience is highly valued
  • Experience leading and managing the implementation of SAP systems
  • Have the ability to work flexible hours when required to complete necessary job assignments
  • Able to travel to support training and development
  • Able to obtain necessary Visas for travel, if required
  • Able to perform business analyses and system troubleshooting is required
